　　一、 from then on

　　要点说明：from then on表示\"从那以后、从那时起\"，是固定短语，用于一般过去时态的句子中，作时间状语。如：

　　From then on no one killed a seagull. 从那以后，没有人捕杀海鸥了。

　　要点串联：from now on表示\"从今以后\"，用于一般将来时态的句子中，作时间状语。如：

　　From now on, I will do exercises every day. 从今以后，我每天都要运动。

　　二、 believe in

　　要点说明： believe in表\"相信、信赖、信任、信仰\"。如：

　　I believe in her. She is a good girl. 我信任她。她是一个好女孩。

　　Do you believe in Marxism? 你信仰马克思主义吗?

　　要点串联：believe指相信某人所说的话或相信某事是真实的，程度比believe in浅。如：

　　I really believe what she said. 我真地相信她的话。

　　I don\'t believe she is a thief. 我不相信她是一个小偷。

　　三、well作程度副词的用法

　　要点说明： well作程度副词表示\"很、远远\"。如：

　　This tree is well above the other trees. 这棵树远远高于别的树。

　　This film is well worth seeing. 这场电影很值得一看。

　　要点串联：far与well类似，也可作程度副词，表\"很、远远\"。如：

　　Our living conditions are far below the ordinary level. 我们的生活条件远远低于正常水平。

　　He studied far into the night last night. 昨晚他一直学习到深夜。

　　四、 start with...

　　要点说明：start with...表\"以......为起点，自......开始\"。如：

　　A 1000-li-journey starts with the first step. 千里之行，始于足下。

　　要点串联：begin with...也可表\"以......为起点，自......开始\"。如：
