　　Many people die in traffic accidents every year, most of which can be avoided if people obey the traffic rules. To avoid traffic accidents, we must keep in mind the following traffic rules.

　　First, remember that you must ride on the right and make a gesture when you want to make a turn or stop at a place. Second, never try to cross the road or turn left when the light is red, for you may be knocked over by a car if you don’t follow the rules. While crossing the road, you must make sure it’s safe enough and you can’t be too careful. When you see an old person or a child crossing the street, go and give him or her a hand. Last but not least, remember to remind children not to play or ride on the road, because they are too young to look after themselves.
