The third period              Speaking

Teaching procedures:

Step 1.Revision

     Review some Prepositions  e.g  in  on  behind  between  under  in front of    

     Make up some sentences with these Prep

Step 2.Presentation

     Show a picture ：A boy is swimming in the lake and ask ：

     Where is he ?    ---------He is in the lake .

     Write “Where is he ” on the blackboard

     Show another picture ：Many flowers are in front of the building

     Ask：Where are the flowers ? -------They are in front of the building.

     Write “Where are the flowers ?” on the blackboard

Step 3. Drill

     Ask each other  Using ：Where is---------?

                            Where are --------?

     Get the students to answer in fact

Step 4. Where are they

Turn to page 29. Talk about the picture

     Where are ----- ?

     Encourage the students to answer in fact

Step 2.Presentation

     Get a student to stand on the left of the classroom , and say:

     She is on the left of  the classroom .

     Present  “on the right of ” and  “in the middle of ” in the same way

     And practice some more.

Step 3. Reading

1.       Ask a question :

What’s in the picture ?

-------There is a park .

     What’s the name of the park ?

--------ABC Park .

Say : Look at the gate . It is open.

Point to the door of the classroom and say;
